Furnace Fan Running

There are some advantages to having the furnace fan (or the HVAC recirculating fan) run continuously   First, it ensures maximum air contact wilth the furnace filtration system.  Also, in winter it will help keep lower areas in the household warmer circulating warm air from higher areas to lower areas.  Conversely in summer it will keep higher areas cooler by circulating cool air from lower areas to higher areas.
